Mary Ellen,
You've been on my mind and heart ever since learning about the horrific plane crash last night outside Buffalo. How terrible and sad! Whether directly or indirectly, I know the tragedy must be impacting you and your parishioners in some way. On NBC news tonight they showed folks in church praying for the victims and their families.
Hope and pray you are holding up and tapping into that Great Strength which is deep within you.
Blessings to you, my friend,
Nancy

Nancy (& all of you, my sisters!) --
ReplyDeleteThank you for the thoughts and prayers. Although none of my parishioners have been directly affected, at least as far as I know, it is still horrible. (Reminds me of Pan Am 103 over Lockerbie -- I was serving in Syracuse then, and there had been a large group of SU students on that plane.)
The crash occurred only about 2 blocks from my ministry partner's husband's church. He and the other pastor at that congregation have been on-site, available to minister to whomever. Many of the local emergency responders are members of their parish.
Continue to pray for the Spirit to comfort and strengthen us all.
Blessings & Hugs,
Mary Ellen
